Hello!
Welcome to my world. Thank you for being here.
Life has been an interesting ride in these parts over the years.
Through my career in event production, I have been fortunate to build a life outside the norm of today’s standards. While I could define my life by all the various roles I’ve held (what I do), underneath all that, at my core, is a lifelong curiosity to explore my interests, find ways to solve problems, and help others. It’s the combination of these three values that expresses itself as what I do: Event Producer.
But event production is not what this space is all about.
These three values made me a Swiss-Army knife, in terms of my career.
They also, in a broader sense, made me an explorer of life.
I love diving down rabbit holes and experimenting to continue defining/refining my personal definition of living a healthy, connected, purposeful life.
My interests vary widely, but they all lead to the same horizon - a path of self-discovery.
I like to think of it as coming Home.
We are all out here seeking our purpose, and who we are.
I view Home as an amalgamation of Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Each an important focus on their own, but it’s the interconnection, how each influences the other, where the power of synergy strengthens the entire system.
This is what gets me fired up:
- Building new habits and practices,
- Learning and implementing new tools,
- and dedicating my life to exploring new ways to upgrade/develop/strengthen my current self to emulate the ideal version I envision.
These expeditions into the Self have helped instill clean eating habits, movement practices, self-care, proper breathing techniques, healthy sleep, and hydration.
I’ve learned to focus and block out distractions to harness the mind.
Through spiritual practices I have developed an ability to view life from different levels, the various storylines playing out simultaneously, and witness the positive influences embracing this part of myself has had on all parts of my life.
Learning how to listen and respond, recognizing the synchronistic signs of the Universe communicating to me.
You may be thinking, “Whoa. This isn’t what I was expecting. I just wanted some help with my freelance career.”
And that’s fine. Solution Seekers can help. Some of this stuff is in there.
But as with anything in the book, take what you want and ignore the rest.
The book itself was a result of an ambition for myself - which was to write a book.
And I wrote about what I know, in an effort to help others.
This newsletter is an extension of just that - writing what I know.
Storytelling is a medium I’ve expressed through since I was a kid. Writing about my experiences in story form is how I share what I’ve learned to help inspire people to make change, or at least look at experiences in their own lives differently.
We all learn from each other.
Stories also help us feel like we are not alone in this world - that someone else has felt the same pains and struggles we have felt.
So that’s what you will get here.
I’ll be sharing tips, habits, experts I’m tracking, plus stories of personal experiences to provide where my curiosities have led me currently, new gadgets, books, foods, and supplements I am enjoying.
As I track the thread of allurement in life, I share the field notes to spark ideas for you to try in your own life.
Once again, thank you for being here.
In gratitude,
- Andrew Lane
