THE IDEA
Spirit Award was releasing a new album during the pandemic. Instead of doing a livestream, they wanted to film the album in it’s entirety in advance and schedule a ticketed watch party.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a multi-camera shoot of their live performance that had the magic of post-production mixing and editing, with a tight turnaround time of 2 weeks from shoot to premiere.
THE CREATION
Using the recording studio I managed at the time, we did a 3-camera shoot. The band played the set twice and we picked the best performances to edit into a single, cohesive live performance for their album release.
